Frozen Avocado Margarita RECIPE COURTESY OF THE KITCHEN Level: Easy Total: 10 min Active: 10 min Yield: 1 margarita Ingredients 3 tablespoons blanco tequila 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice plus 1 lime, cut into wedges 1 tablespoon amber agave 1 tablespoon triple sec 1 cup ice 1/4 fresh avocado, peeled (about 1/4 cup) Coarse salt, for rimming glass Directions Special equipment: a high-powered blender Add the tequila, lime juice, agave, triple sec and ice to a high-power blender. Blend until the ice is crushed and the mixture is homogeneous, about 20 seconds. Add the avocado and barely blend, about 10 seconds more. The mixture will be smooth and pourable. (Be sure not to overblend, because the mixture will become too thick.) Use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of the glass. Dip the rim into the coarse salt. Pour the margarita into the glass and garnish with another lime wedge.
